Home base for water roots. Big deep tech presence and incredible peaceful landscapes and fresh mahi mahi burrito.

So much diversity of sectors and people. The energy in NYC is really unlike anything else.
Research labs, trains that run on time and public infrastructure people trust. Close to the outdoor culture!
A campus town that thinks hard about how cities should work and experiment.
Streets built for bikes, trams and people at once. Wrote a field note on it.
Incredible creative culture. Laneways, cafe culture and a planning goal of 20-minute neighborhoods, where daily needs sit within a short walk or ride as well.
Part of my roots in Aotearoa. A compact, walkable capital where policy, creative energy and community sit close together.
